Eligibility to Contribute:
Only individuals who normally reside in Ontario are permitted to make contributions to a municipal election campaign. Eligible contributors may donate up to $1,200 to a single municipal candidate.
Contributions from corporations, businesses, trade unions, associations, or organizations are strictly prohibited. Donations from individuals residing outside the Province of Ontario are also not permitted under municipal election laws.
